Rendezvous Staff
Staff turnover is not a major problem at the Rendezvous. Our guys stick around not for months or years, but decades. Learn their names so you can introduce them to your great-grandkids.
- Robert Senior:
Not to be confused with his son Robert Junior. Been here 45 years. He's finally starting to get the hang of it.
- Big Jack:
Been here since 1969. Don't ever question the "Old Dog's" bite, especially when it comes to ribs. Now serving his third generation of customers.
- Albert:
Started in 1973. Believe it or not, he was formerly the city's tennis champ. Everybody knows him as Red.
- Percy:
Started 1970. Always with the big smile. Has served presidents on Air Force One and vice presidents on Air Force Two.
- Geno:
Been here 34 years. Known as The Fixer -- there's no machine he can't fix. Can also serve a mean order of ribs on occasion.
- Robert Junior:
Not to be confused with his dad Robert Senior. Justin Timberlake's main man. Even though he's young, he's still been here 24 years.
- Fred:
Also known as Hollyrock, but we don't know what that means. Been here 17 years. Moved into the starting lineup 12 years ago.
- Mark:
The Shark. One of the new side crowd. Been here since 1983. One of the few who knows the difference between white zinfandel and red zinfandel.
- Stinson:
Trained in some of the finest restaurants in Memphis. Has been with us since 1989. Can also write some sweet soul music, but please don't ask him to sing.
- Demego:
A party server like Alphonso, but can't cook red beans and rice. First new server this millennium; started 2001. You can still find him in the kitchen cooking ribs, however.
- Darren:
Mini-Me, a new kid on the block. Been with us since 1992. Moved from busboy to server. Can still only handle four tables, but he keeps trying.
