How to Get Here

For three generations, the Rendezvous has been in the alley, downstairs, behind 52 South Second in downtown Memphis. Check a map or follow the directions below.

From the airport grounds or the rental car lots, follow the signs for I-240 Downtown. Follow the I-240 loop about six miles around to Union Avenue (Exit 30). Turn off and follow the signs for Union Avenue West. Go on Union about 1.5 miles, then turn right on Third Street (at Autozone Park). Turn left into Allright Central Parking, 153 Monroe Avenue at Third Street. Once you park, slip out the side gate into the alley alongside the parking garage. We’re just a few steps down the alley on the right.

Take I-40 all the way around Memphis. Just before you get to the river, exit at Second Street/Third Street (Exit 1a). The ramp will merge you with Second Street. Go about nine blocks and turn left on Monroe Avenue. Turn right into Allright Central Parking, 153 Monroe at Third Street. Once you park, slip out the side gate into the alley alongside the parking garage. We’re just a few steps across the alley.

Take the I-40 bridge across the river and turn off at Front Street (Exit 1). Turn right on Front, then go about five blocks and turn left on Monroe Avenue. Turn right into Allright Central Parking, 153 Monroe at Third Street. Once you park, slip out the side gate into the alley alongside the parking garage. We’re just a few steps across the alley.

If you’re riding the Main Street Trolley, get off at the Union Avenue stop and head east (away from the river) down Union. Use the sidewalk on the north side. Cross Second Street, then turn left into our alley just before you get to the Holiday Inn Select. Our door is on the left.

Your best bet for parking is Allright Central Parking, 153 Monroe Avenue at Third Street. Once you park, slip out the side gate into the alley alongside the parking garage. We’re just a few steps across the alley.

If you’re visiting downtown Memphis, you don’t want to spend the entire time hunched over a plate of our ribs. Here’s how to pass the time before and after meals:

• Learn about the river at Mud Island River Park, then see the river from the commanding heights of the Bluff Walk (ask our staff for directions).
• Say hi to the ducks at the Peabody Hotel.
• Do a bar crawl down Beale Street.
